Corrections and data issues
Every benchmark should be traceable. If a number, source label, geography, or explanation looks wrong, report it and include enough detail for the calculation to be reproduced.
What to include
- The PayBeacon page URL and the figure you are questioning.
- The expected value and a link or document supporting it.
- Whether the issue concerns BLS wages, CMS filings, a state ceiling, geography, or wording.
- Any time sensitivity, such as a newly effective regulation.
How corrections are handled
We reproduce the affected cell, compare it with the cited primary source, and distinguish a source update from a pipeline or presentation error. Confirmed material errors are corrected in the next safe deployment. Source vintages and generated dates remain visible so a reader can identify the snapshot.
We do not alter a benchmark because an employer, agency, advertiser, or affiliate prefers a different number. Commercial relationships do not control the model.
